KIDS AT THE MUSEUM

Every child will receive a kit, specifically designed by our team, to draw and express his/her creativity inspired by the museum’s works of art. Request the drawing kit at our ticket office: don’t miss the opportunity to explore Palazzo Maffei with your little ones!

TREASURE HUNT, ART LABS AND INTERACTIVE TOURS

Discover our year-round kids & teens programs: a series of educational activities based on interaction and hands on approach designed to introduce the younger ones to the world of art and the museum through play. Treasure hunts, interactive visits and workshops guide the little ones on the discovery of our collection and the masterpieces in our museum!

TREASURE HUNT

An exciting exploration among the museum’s artworks on the hunt for curious details. This activity aims to introduce children to art in a real journey through times among ancient and contemporary masterpieces. Curiosity, good memory and teamwork are the essential ingredients for those who want to try this engaging experience!

ART LABS

Creativity and imagination are the protagonists of this series of labs and workshops focusing on the most iconic works of art in the museum’s collection. Art becomes food for thought: reflection, discovery and experimentation. Our workshops offer a wide variety of experiences and are constantly being updated.

ART LAB / LOTUS MAFFEI

Art and Nature meet in the Lotus Maffei art lab, exploring the museum’s art collection and its site-specific work, the Lotus, with a creative activity for children.

ART LAB / BEAUTY IS A READY MADE

What is a ready-made? How can an everyday object become a work of art? Taking its cue from Claire Fontaine’s new site-specific installation in dialogue with Alessandro Puttinati’s La Bagnante, this multidisciplinary workshop leads children to discover this revolutionary art practice.

ART LAB / ARTIST CREATIONS

Mix media art workshop: combining different materials, through collage, little ones express their creativity inspired by the museum’s great artists.

ART LAB/ CLOUD

My head in the clouds: who has never played with the clouds in the sky? What about a cloud in a museum display case? It has never been seen! A cloud, however, has stopped here at Palazzo Maffei: it’s Cloud by artist Leandro Erlich, the cue for a short floating tour among the clouds with a workshop to make an artsy pop-up cloud.

INTERACTIVE TOURS

IMAGINE THE INVISIBLE – Visit with workshop

An interactive visit with wonder exercises among the galleries of the museum: training the imagination, children interact with the artworks of the Collection. Focus of the activity is the stimulation of the senses in the approach to art.

DISCOVERING PALAZZO MAFFEI’S COLLECTION – Visit

The tour includes an exploration of the masterworks in Palazzo Maffei House Museum’s art collection.
